Minicoy Islands Hosts the Lakshadweep Tourism
The lakshadweep archipelago has 10 inhabited islands.Since they are tiny (the entire land area is just 32 sq km) visits are restricted.Apart from the airstrip at agatti,Indian tourists may only visit bangaram,Kalpeni,Kadmat,Kavaratti and Minicoy,while foreigners are restricted to Bangaram,Kadmat and (as of 2009)Minicoy.
Getting There:-
All visitors need an entry permit,available from Lakshadweep Tourism office in kochi.By AIR INDIA and Kingfisher fly to Agatti from Kochi.One way fares cost approx Rs 3500 to Rs 7500.
